I wasn't trying to offend anyone with my earlier posts on the family site - it was all done with love and concern over all of our future safety. Susan - you, Jim, and all your kids mean a lot to us here in Texas. I was never very political, aside from joining ZPG in college as a way to meet girls. But as I have gotten older, and how the world changed after 9/11, I have a greater need to contribute to the safety of my daughter's family, your's, and everyone else's. I make no bones over my political philosophy: the safety of our country and its citizens, strict adherence to the constitution, help for those who cannot (not will not) help themselves, personal responsibility, equal access and opportunity for all, and freedom FOR all religions of peace. A great summary of all this was given by my 8th grade history teacher, who said that democracy was 'freedom WITH responsibility'. He also said, that our freedom was a direct result of having a strong military.
Anyway - this is where I will keep all that stuff - please feel free to comment. Patricia will be writing and posting too.
