Netherlands problem

An interesting take on the situation in Holland with their Muslim proble.

The Dutch just got shot in the leg. Up until now, terrorists have generally ignored them, but a brave Dutch filmmaker started telling the truth about radical Islam, and a Muslim nutcase shot him in the street, slit his throat, and used a knife to pin a manifesto to his chest.
What did the USA do when terrorists challenged our values? Bin Laden threatened to confine terrorism to red states, and what did we do? We re-elected bin Laden's worst enemy and added Republicans to both houses of Congress.
The Dutch, on the other hand, responded to a single murder by repudiating the leftist drivel they've been spewing proudly for decades. Holland is one of the most liberal countries on a liberal continent, but now they're putting and end to their touchy-feely, all-embracing, nuanced immigration policies.
Wonder why that is. Could it be because conservatives really believe in their values, while liberals only pretend to believe in theirs? In a word, YES. Everyone is a liberal when the living is easy. But when reality intrudes and bursts your soft utopian bubble, people turn conservative. Fast. Remember how New Yorkers adored President Bush for six months after 9/11? That's the state the Dutch are in right now.
These days, Muslim immigration means trouble. Doesn't matter if most Muslims are wonderful people. When you let Muslims in, you get the chaff as well as the wheat. The terrorists don't have big flashing lights strapped to their foreheads. They look just like peaceful Muslims, so in they come. And some Dutch members of Parliament are so terrified, they want to take the conservative--no, Draconian--way out. They want to close the borders completely.
